The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has informed candidates interested in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) that registration has not yet started.
While the exact date for registration is not yet known, JAMB has assured everyone that they will provide the details soon.
Here’s the latest update shared by JAMB on their official Twitter account, @JAMBHQ:
“Attention prospective 2025 UTME/DE candidates! Please note that registration has not started. However, details will be announced soon.”
— JAMB (@JAMBHQ) January 15, 2025
They also advised candidates to prepare by following these steps:
- Get Your National Identification Number (NIN): NIN is required for JAMB registration. If you don’t have one, visit a National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office to get it.
- Have a Valid Phone Number: Ensure you have a phone number that hasn’t been used for JAMB registration before. This number will be needed to generate your profile code.
- Stay Updated: Follow JAMB’s official channels, like their website and social media, for the latest news.
Why is There a Delay?
The delay in announcing the registration date might be due to JAMB making necessary preparations to ensure the process goes smoothly for everyone.
They usually take time to finalize technical and administrative arrangements before starting registration.
What to Expect When Registration Starts
Once registration begins, here’s what you will need to do:
- Generate your JAMB Profile Code using your NIN and phone number.
- Buy your JAMB e-PIN from accredited banks or online platforms.
- Complete your registration at an accredited JAMB CBT center.
- Choose your preferred exam center and subjects during registration.
- Double-check your personal information to ensure it is correct before submitting.
